A Tribute to Hossein Moshashaei

Glendon Theatre
This event was one of a kind for a celebration of life. As storytellers in diaspora who could not go back to Iran due to the risks of Iran's political status, we could not attend our father's funeral. So we held a celebration of life with Performing Arts as them main theme, because our father sang and danced through his challenges, and taught us to be resilient in the most dark times of suppression.
A word from Atoosa:
I cannot thank each one of you (collaborators and attendees) enough, for being there for us. Your presence, collaboration, kindness, hope and believe on what we are doing is unique and worths to be seen and be part of means alot to all of us.

Singing for him
Solmaz, Atoosa, Meisam each sang for him and at the end we had a group sing long with a recorded voice of him.
Short Film
Atoosa made a short film after a one week journey talking with the loved ones and gathering photos and videos from far away.
Performing Arts
We put together a dance theatre production with one of his favourite songs, by Fereydoon Farrokhzad called: shab bud, zamestan bud, means: "It was night, It was Winter".
The song is a love story, two lovers in the middle of the night in storm are going through a dark road and their love gives them strength to continue.

Via this book, we performed the story of immigration, love and resiliency. This is the first story we told in Pezhvak club and resonated with our club's motto, which is performing arts for resiliency.
Tribute to Nika Shakarami
Nika Shakarami was killed in Iran after her protest for women's rights.
This event was a tribute, performed globally, as a reminder to people in Iran that they are not alone, and we will stand with them, and that all the youth and children being killed, are like a thousand of candles that light the path for us.
We lit candles, drew Nika's portrait and sang songs for her.
Finding Shervin
This event was an interactive theatre, designed by Masoud Faraji and Hadi Miryazdi.
Between playing game and drama, this event brought a new perspective of being part of a theatre.
